Brian Duda (he/him), Student Therapist
|
Brian is a counseling intern working toward an MA in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling at Naropa University and holds a BA in Psychology from Northern Vermont University. He has several years of experience working with children, youth, and adults in school and community-based settings. His approach to counseling is intuitive and integrative, drawing from both clinical training and lived experience, and is guided by close attention to each client’s needs, strengths, and readiness.
His clinical interests include trauma-informed and person-centered counseling, mindfulness-based approaches, somatic and movement-informed therapy, Gestalt therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)/Parts Work. He has over a decade of experience with meditation and mindfulness practices and has completed graduate-level coursework in authentic movement. He is also a Level 1 certified Qigong teacher and can incorporate gentle practices to support nervous system regulation when appropriate. Brian views counseling as a collaborative and relational process that respects each client’s pace and complexity. He values present-moment awareness, compassion, and the role of a supportive, attuned therapeutic relationship in fostering healing and growth. Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys spending time in nature, which helps support his own grounding and informs his appreciation for natural processes of change. |
Brian accepts private pay ($50/session), Cigna/Evernorth, Aetna/First Health, Kaiser, CO Access, CCHA and RMHP Medicaid Insurances.
