Allison Harvey, MA, LPC
Allison founded Benediction Counseling in 2014 and now serves as the Clinical Director as well as continuing work as a therapist. Benediction means "a good word" and is most often used at the end of a religious service when the congregants are sent away with a blessing. She is passionate about coming alongside individuals, couples and families who are in distress and desperately could use "a good word." Allison utilizes her therapeutic wisdom to guide clients toward hope and healing after painful life events. She is uniquely able to help clients navigate grief after the loss of a loved one, difficulties pertinent to highly sensitive people (HSP) and attachment-related struggles. Allison is DBT trained and enjoys leading DBT skills groups. Allison often reaches for the Enneagram as a great tool for personal awareness and growth.
Allison earned a Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Sciences) degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 2005, and received her Master's of Arts in Counseling from Denver Seminary in 2010.
Allison is also passionate about mentoring and serving as a supervisor for newer therapists. She has a strong belief that the community at large is stronger and healthier when therapists befriend and support each other. She loves to train and empower therapists to serve clients with knowledge, sensitivity, cultural awareness and a strong ethical conviction.
The other hats Allison wears are wife, adoptive mother, biological mother, daughter, sister and friend. She enjoys a good long walk, quiet music, a good cup of coffee, visiting the mountains and slowing down with a good book of poetry.
Allison accepts Private Pay, CO Access Medicaid, CCHA Medicaid and Cigna

Casey Petterson, MA, LPCC
Casey received her Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and Human Services from Kansas State University. She moved to Colorado in her early 20's where she worked in multiple roles before receiving her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Denver Seminary. It was during those early adult years that Casey discovered the need for extra support in life’s challenging transitions. Anxiety, depression, identity struggles, and lack of self-efficacy are all common byproducts of changing circumstances. Casey has experience working with young adults dealing with these issues as they sought meaningful career paths. She has also worked with people wrestling through spiritual questions and is passionate about coming alongside people with chronic pain.
She takes a bio-psycho-social approach which addresses health from physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual angles. She believes that painful cycles can begin to reverse through the therapeutic relationship and uncovered emotions. Other methods she ascribes to include Mindfulness, ACT, and Person-Centered Therapy. She is working toward additional training and consultation in EMDR Therapy.
Like a true Colorado resident, Casey enjoys mountain hikes with either her husband or a good audiobook. She is also a runner, musician, and curator of beautiful meals to be shared with community. Casey feels honored to hold hope for her clients as they embark on their healing journey.
Casey accepts Private Pay, CCHA Medicaid and Cigna.
